IEC61131-3 automation programming and industrial communications protocols
We are proud to offer STRATON®, a leading IEC61131-3 soft PLC programming environment and real time engine for use in PLCs, RTUs, drives and other industrial controllers.
STRATON® is already widely used around the world, being incorporated into products and services requiring international standards based IEC61131-3 automation. Over 40 PLC, RTU, drive and control system vendors in Europe, Asia and North America currently use STRATON® and the list continues to grow.
The STRATON® integrated development environment is a set of powerful text and graphic editors for the five IEC61131-3 languages (SFC, FBD, LD, ST, IL) and a wide range of industry standard fieldbus and system protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, IEC60870, Profinet and Profibus, CAN, XML, OPC, IBM MQTT and IEC61850.
The STRATON® IEC61131-3 runtime is supported on a wide range of embedded platforms including Windows XP/CE, Linux and VXWorks and is capable of being ported to many others, including very small hardware devices with no operating system.

Real time and batch data processing and display
Collecting data is only one half of the problem that we help to solve for our customers. To be useful, the data collected from the population of sensors and data collection devices must be processed and then displayed in easy-to-understand formats.
As well as making the data available to central control room and business users, we can offer solutions which allow field force users to:
- Access real time SCADA mimics and historic data reports
- Monitor and manage process and plant alarms
- Collect survey data
- Record commissioning results
Sensors and remote data collection devices
Many of our solutions include a combination of innovative sensor and data collection devices specially designed to meet the specific needs of the application.
A range of high performance data collection devices in small footprint with long life (many years) battery operation is available as part of one of the many off-the-shelf solutions or as stand-alone products to be used to solve other business problems.
The range includes an intrinsically safe battery powered RTU for use in hazardous locations such as sewers or oil and gas installations.
Coupled with these data collection devices is a range of high performance sensors which enable the accurate measurement of most water industry parameters, including pressure, flow, level, turbidity and pH.
